Briarmoor Floral Studio
A wedding-and-event floral studio in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood, working from a private design studio (no walk-in retail) and serving New England venues since 2018.
About
Briarmoor Floral Studio was founded in 2018 by Talia Briarmoor after she left her career as a botanical illustrator. The studio is by-appointment only and does not maintain a retail storefront. All consultations happen at the Jamaica Plain studio or, for venue site-walks, at the venue itself.
What the studio offers
Briarmoor specializes in foraged and seasonal arrangements for weddings, corporate dinners, and editorial photoshoots. The studio does not offer everyday delivery, sympathy arrangements, or holiday-themed retail. A typical wedding starts with a $1,200 minimum for ceremony arrangements and bridal-party flowers.
Booking and lead time
Wedding consultations require a $200 booking fee that is credited toward the final invoice if the date is confirmed within 30 days. The studio books weddings a minimum of four months in advance and accepts no more than fourteen weddings per calendar year. Saturdays in May, June, and October typically book out twelve months ahead.
Sourcing
Roughly 60 percent of stems are sourced from a partner farm in Western Massachusetts, Plowshare Petals. Imported stems are limited to off-season anemones, ranunculus, and protea. The studio does not work with dyed or chemically-preserved florals on principle.
